Guo Hongfeng is een hedendaagse Chinese schilder, geboren in Qingdao en momenteel woonachtig in Hangzhou, China. Hij studeerde in 1982 af aan de China Academy of Art, met als specialisatie de afdeling Arts and Crafts. Tegenwoordig werkt hij bij het Architectural Design Institute van de Zhejiang University en richt hij zich in zijn kunst op mixed media.
Guo's werk is sterk beïnvloed door dromen, die hij beschrijft als vreemd, kleurrijk en onvoorspelbaar. Zijn schilderijen vangen de surrealistische aard van dromen, variërend van ordelijke en levendig gekleurde scènes tot vrije vormen en grenzeloze mysteries.
