Tina Lane is een Britse beeldend kunstenaar die in haar interdisciplinaire kunstpraktijk werkt met installaties, beeldhouwkunst, fotografie, media en performance. Zijn projecten evolueren in antwoord op de behoeften van de site, in samenwerking en communicatie met mensen, plaatsen en psychologie.
Op dit moment is haar werk gericht op menselijke relaties, identiteit, geheugen en sterfelijkheid. Ze streeft ernaar de onzekerheid van het passen in gevestigde systemen en denkpatronen door middel van haar kunst aan te pakken, in plaats van op te lossen. Het verzadigt een basisbehoefte om non-verbaal en visueel te communiceren door de kunst zo inclusief en boeiend mogelijk te maken, zonder rekening te houden met taal. Het visualiseren van ongearticuleerde hersenen die functioneren via materiële en performatieve processen, demonstreert dit onderzoek naar het 'onderbuikgevoel' of 'instinct' en maakt creatieve mobiliteit mogelijk.
Tina Lane ontving een BA (Hons) First in Fine Art van de Southampton Solent University, waar ze in 2015 de CVA SE Platform Graduate Award ontving van Aspex Gallery en Solent Showcase Gallery voor Best of Degree Shows. Daarna nam ze residenties in India en Japan. In 2018 behaalde ze een onderscheiding in haar MA in Fine Art aan de Winchester School of Art.
