Albert Cruells, geboren in 1947 in Spanje, is een hedendaagse kunstenaar wiens vroege leven werd gevormd door de natuurlijke wereld en de creatieve invloed van zijn familie - zijn vader was pianoleraar en zijn moeder schrijfster. Zijn artistieke reis begon ongewoon vroeg, met zijn eerste tentoonstelling op zevenjarige leeftijd in de slagerij van zijn grootvader.
Op zijn achttiende verhuisde Cruells naar Barcelona om architectuur te studeren, waarbij hij zich verdiepte in de moderne artistieke scene van de stad. Hij vond ook inspiratie in Cadaqués, waar hij regelmatig zijn evoluerende werk tentoonstelde. Zijn kunst kreeg internationale erkenning, wat leidde tot de publicatie van zijn eerste boek.
De Vila Casas Foundation heeft zijn werk gecureerd en de Antonio Saura Foundation heeft hem geëerd met een anthologische tentoonstelling en een uitgebreid carrièrecompilatieboek. Ondanks zijn succes blijft Cruells diep verbonden met zijn roots en blijft hij werken met dezelfde passie en toewijding die hij als kind had met een penseel.
