Éric Petr is een kunstenaar-fotograaf voor wie licht een symbool is van het leven, en de tijd, de eeuwige vernieuwing. Wanneer hij het licht vangt om zijn aanwezigheid daar negatief te schrijven, vertellen de geheimen van het materiaal dat het bevat hemelse verhalen.
Zijn fotografie is een dialoog tussen de lucht en de mens. Het is een reflectie op de essentie van licht. Het is een variatie op de 'onzekerheidsrelaties' van Werner Heisenberg die zich afvraagt of de waarnemingstheorie van het heelal bepaalde grenzen zou stellen aan onze perceptie van de werkelijkheid. Het toont de kwetsbaarheid en schoonheid van het leven.
Éric Petr is een autodidactische kunstenaar die woont en werkt in Marseille (Frankrijk). Hij nam deel aan tal van tentoonstellingen: Ringoya Gallery Tokyo in Japan (2017 en 2019), 1905 Gallery Shenyang, in China in 2019….
