Orest Dubay is een hedendaagse Slowaakse kunstenaar. Zijn kunstactiviteit is geconcentreerd op grafische kunst (zeefdruk), schilderkunst en computergrafische kunst. Dubay's werk is gebaseerd op intuïtief tekenen met vormen die op de werkelijkheid lijken. Van plastic, gecompliceerde, abstracte composities tot vereenvoudigde vormen, gecreëerd door één gesloten lijn die grenst aan vlakken van zuivere kleuren.
De kunstenaar ontwikkelt zijn eigen programma om een gebied in de ruimte te vormen, aangezien computergraphics hem ook fascineren. In het begin gebruikt hij een combinatie van zeefdruk met zogenaamde draadgrafieken, later, bij de technische ontwikkeling, gebruikt hij laserprinters en creëert hij virtuele ruimteonderwerpen - digitale sculpturen en eenvoudige animaties van 3D-onderwerpen. Hij is niet op zoek naar ingewikkelde filosofische verklaringen van zijn werken, hij baseert alles op zijn intuïtieve verbeeldingskracht en begrip van schoonheid in eenvoud en zuiverheid.
Orest Dubay werd in 1954 geboren in Slowakije, waar hij afstudeerde aan de Academie voor Schone Kunsten en Vormgeving.
