Wat is de oorsprong van de Gouache techniek?

Gouache (van Italiaanse guazzo) is een stof die een bindmiddel (glycerine) of een gegomd oplosmiddel op waterbasis (arabische gom) gebruikt. Dekkend en dekkend (in tegenstelling tot waterverf), mengt het gemakkelijk en verdunt het met water (temperaverf). De term gouache, die veel wordt gebruikt door kunstenaars, verwijst zowel naar het materiaal dat in een buis wordt gevonden als naar het resultaat dat op het doek wordt waargenomen. De kleurstoffen worden verdund met water en pasteuze en ondoorzichtig gemaakt door toevoeging van gom en honing. De kleuren worden dekkend en kunnen elkaar dus overlappen, zodat we zowel in gouache als in olieverf schilderen. Gouache wordt aanbevolen vanwege zijn heldere, frisse en delicate tonen.
