Originele kunstwerken zijn elk werk dat als authentiek wordt beschouwd en geen kopie of imitatie van het originele werk van een kunstenaar. Originele kunstwerken kunnen elk type schilderij, beeldhouwwerk, performance of andere media zijn. Er zijn veel soorten originele media. Gemengde media zijn onder meer olie-, acryl- en aquarelverf. Voor werkplaatsschilderijen die getuigen van vakmanschap moet deze toeschrijving genuanceerder zijn. Hoewel ze om verschillende redenen misschien minder waardevol zijn, hadden de reproducties en kopieën een enorme impact op onze ervaring. Ze bereiken een breder publiek dan de originelen en werken als een tonicum tegen commodificatie. Het oorspronkelijke werk zou ook kunnen verwijzen naar het eerste werk, dat altijd voorafgaat aan alle andere. Het kan ook verwijzen naar een prototype of een model waaruit andere werken kunnen worden gemaakt. Elk werk vertoont grote overeenkomsten met het origineel.

I was born in Madrid in 1975. My whole family become from Canary Islands where I lived for 12 important years of my life. My Cuban grandmother had a good hand for painting with charcoal, and my mother painted with oil always combining really well a big variety of colors.

I am a self-taught artist, inspired by the simplicity, practicality, style, colors and light of the Scandinavian culture.
And also very inspired by the energy of Ironman distance triathlon, with its fusion of styles, and the different colors, lights, and scenes that you go through when training in the sea, in the mountain or along the coast.

I like the clash between the abstract and the numbers, between the diffuse and controlled lines, between the curves and the calculations.

For years I have been painting a big paintwork every two or three years but in 2017 I felt it was time to express everything that I have inside.

The artists who have most influenced in what I do today and how I present my art, are: Carla Sá Fernandes, Ronald Hunter and Niki Hare.

Glazuur

Verf gemaakt met gesmolten glaspoeder en oxide. De email wordt vervolgens aangebracht door ze te mengen met gedestilleerd water. Er is een vorm van verglaasbaar glazuur dat bestaat uit het mengen van de oxiden met zeer weinig glas en olie totdat een pasta is verkregen. Ze worden vervolgens toegepast als een schilderij.

Outsider Kunst

Uitgevonden door Jean Dubuffet (1901-1985) in 1945, het idee is om werken te maken met primitieve grafische afbeeldingen die geen academische referentie in acht nemen. Hij zal ook adviseren om "als een kind te tekenen" en autodidactische kunstenaars aan te moedigen.

Schilderen is een kunstvorm van schilderen op een oppervlak door esthetisch gekleurde vloeistoffen aan te brengen. Schilders vertegenwoordigen een zeer persoonlijke uitdrukking op dragers zoals papier, steen, canvas, hout, schors, glas, beton en vele andere substraten. Born in Madrid, of Canary Islands blood and a Cuban grandmother, he dedicates his professional career to marketing in the food industry; but during a summer-time vacation on the beach — CLICK — he realizes that he is in this world to fill your home or office with positivity and energy through colors.

His style is marked by pure tonalities, well-marked strokes, it is intense, alive, full of energy. Self-taught painter, he is attentive to his intuition and strongly convinced that the best is yet to come. His inspiration might come from a sign that appeared whilst completing an Ironman, or from a logo found in a magazine that he read on a flight.

Ruben always paints on high density engineered wood of the highest available quality and he uses acrylic paint, often combined with enamel.

His signature can appear at the front at request, but will always signed at the back of every work where he includes a double-card certificate of authenticity.

Receive this work ready to hang as he installs several hooks in the bag of all his paintings.

Ruben always gives especial attention when packaging his artworks, so it does not become damaged during delivery and arrives efficiently in mint condition.

First, he uses a layer of bubble wrap to have a cushion from bumps and bruises and to prevent unwanted movement during travel. That layer is surrounded by a piece of corrugated cardboard as a protective shield and shock absorber for the sides and corners. Finally, the package is wrapped in plastic sheeting to prevent the entrance of dust or humidity.
