Nikol Aghababyan was born in 1964 in Armenia. In 1986 he graduated from the Yerevan Pedagogical Institute of Art, focused on painting. He is a member of the Armenian Painters’ Union since 1992. He has exhibited extensively in Armenia, Russia (Moscow and St. Petersburg), the United States (LA and NY), France (Paris, Nice, Lyon, Caen), Italy (Roma, Venice, Milan), Artsakh, Syria (Aleppo), Lebanon, Germany, and Spain.

Aghababyan’s art is known worldwide,  they are part of the collections of notable individuals and intuitions that include: the State Museum of Armenia;  the State Museum of China;  the German Museum of Ministry of Culture; The Hon. Karen Karapetyan, Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia;  Sigrid Muller Holtz Gallery Private Collection, Germany;   St. Vartan Armenian Church Museum, New York, USA; Prof. Tina Seelig, Stanford University, USA; Ruben Vartanyan, Founder of Aurora Foundation, Russia; Alexey Muller, Chairman, of Russian Gazprom Company, Russia;  San Raphael City Museum; Tamara Kocharian- Armen Bedrosian, Paris, France; Pierre Cardin, Private Collection, Caen, France.
