The title of this work is VOLARE BASSO.
VOLA BASSO
is an Italian idiom meaning 'to be humble'!
The word UMILE is in fact derived from the Latin 'umìlis' and means little elevated from the ground.
True humility is paying sincere attention to others, listening to them and respecting them.
He who is humble has the strength to recognise his own mistakes and limitations.
All this is magic for me and then 'Flying low' is still flying!
I made this work on a canvas, treated the background and coloured it with several layers of colour, including gold to achieve a unique atmosphere, traced the outline of the painting with chalk and only then did I start painting with oil colours.
I use oil colour by overlaying many thin layers of appropriately diluted colour to create the effects I want.
Once perfectly dry, I finished the surface with a final coat of varnish to make it UV-resistant.
The work does not have a frame but is ready to hang.
The work is signed on the front and back and will be accompanied by a certificate of authenticity.
For shipping outside the EU, it is necessary to wait for authorisation from the Ministry of Cultural Heritage, which may result in a delay of a few days
