It is getting to my mind lately, since I'm working on construction projects related to the medical field (clinics, hospitals, medical centers, retirement homes ...), I decided to make a sketch of my first hospital: Proudly presenting "PILL HOSPITAL".
Many will compare between aesthetics against space's efficiency and carbon footprint, and the debate can be long. But, in my opinion, I guess shapes and forms can make a big difference. That’s why I always innovate in the design and find new ways to make the construction possible. Everyone is attracted to beauty, so why don’t we make beautiful structures that people can relate to. Look at the Eiffel Tower, first it was hated by people and then it became a national emblement, I can recite also for recent construction, such as Louis Vuitton Foundation and the canopy of Châtelet-Les Halles.
Returning to the concept, the shape of the building resembles a medical pill (center oval dome) that is dissolving in water. The layers of waves are made mainly from concrete shells and a steel structure for the glass facades. I’m not sure about the oval dome material, but I think steel/ open glass will balance the light exposure with the concrete elements.
I’m planning to push this design a little further, so dear members, if you think you can translate this drawing into a 3D model, let me know. The next step is to make the structural study on convenient software and technical verification for all the supporting elements.
I Hope you like the design for today, give it a thumbs up.
Cordially
Nicolas

I believe everything has its beauty in one way or another. I am basically a general engineer, combined with art to give illustration a higher dimension. From an artistic approach, i offer and develop concepts of innovation, in art, architecture and urban design at a national and international level.
In the face of the digital wave, I'm setting up new creative artistic ideas. These ideas are designed in phase with the latest digital tools and 3D illustration. Going from this base, i create innovative conceptions achieved on paper, cardboard, wood, canvas, metal... presenting it to the world, waiting for the right future moment to be realized.
Hope you like my creations.
