Nicolas Bralet est un artiste plasticien et sonore. Né en 1972 in Perpignan (France), il vit et travaille en Bourgogne. Après une formation en horticulture, Nicolas Bralet poursuit ses études à l’École Nationale Supérieure d’Arts de Paris/Cergy (ENSAPC 2000-2005). Il approfondi ses recherches en intégrant le post-diplôme en Art Audio Locus Sonus à la Villa Arson à Nice et à l’École d’Arts d’Aix-en-Provence (2006-2007). Il assiste ensuite le compositeur Nicolas Frize pour «ÉCOUTE, ÉCOUTE», un programme de sensibilisation à l’environnement sonore auprès des classes primaires des écoles de Saint-Denis. Depuis 2008, il a rejoint le collectif LAAB (Laboratoire associatif d’Arts et de Botanique) avec lequel il travaille entre autre à la traduction de données biologiques en sons ou en lumière. Il a exposé notamment, au Potager du Roi (Versailles), au festival City Sonic (Mons, Belgique), aux Subsistances,(Lyon), Aux bains numériques (Enghien-les-bains), à Taïnan (Taïwan). En plus de ses pièces sonores, Nicolas Bralet réalise de nombreux dessins, des photographies, des tableaux qu'il apparente à des relevés de tonalités, de rythmes, de mouvements. "Ce sont en quelque sorte, des partitions paysagères où je note la saveur de l'attention. J'anime ce qui m’entoure dans une contemplation active. Puis, à son tour, la contemplation m'anime par ses reliefs, ses étendues, ses rencontres. Tout semble trouver sa place".
