The shades range from pale yellow to bright orange, passing through English red, without forgetting a wide palette of purples, lilacs and deep blues.

How not to be enchanted by this wonderful and mighty panorama?

The artwork is made on 3.5cm thick canvas, painted on the sides and does not require framing.

I am Belgian and, for the last six years, I have been living in Sicily, more precisely in Ortigia.

I define myself a bit impressionist and a bit expressionist. My emotions really affect my paintings. I can be totally absorbed by the joy in looking to the nature and express it through luministic effects and colorful lively or tenuous, stimulating or restful, but always cheerful. On the contrary, if I tend more to my interiority, my chromatic expression becomes more violent or gloomy and caricatural.

I interpret in my own way the nature that is my main source of inspiration. I love the reflections and the games of light in the water and in the sky. I get lost in seeing the surface of a torrent quiver, in observing the walk of the clouds.

I paint on canvas, mainly in oil. I was captivated by the softness and greatness of this medium that creates continuous volutes while the pigments mingle with each other. I feel joy and peace as I search for the right shade for my painting or as I mix the colors directly on the canvas. For this reason, my brushstroke were often curvy but in recent times, I am becoming minimalist too.

The last three years have been fruitful from a professional point of view, with numerous solo and group exhibitions, as well as participation in national and international competitions.

Several of my paintings are now part of private collections in Milan, Paris, Brussels, Dubai and New York.

My artwork "Venezia" was awarded 2nd Place - Abstract in the February 2020 BoldBrush Painting Competition in the USA.

"Little Men in Green Island" received a "Special Mention" award by "Premio Artista d'Italia 2022" , in Roma, last December.
