Unique Piece
*Nana Araujo uses glitter on wood to create textured, vibrant artworks. The natural warmth of the wood combined with the striking shine of glitter brings depth and energy to each piece. This unique material choice is inspired by the lively spirit of Rio de Janeiro's Carnival, reflecting Nana's emotional expression and Brazilian heritage. Her art celebrates the vibrant culture and dynamic energy of Rio, infusing every work with a sense of joy and celebration.

Nana Araujo was born in Curitiba (Brazil), lived in Rio de Janeiro for 10 years, and now resides in Barcelona, Spain.
She never allowed her comfort zone to consume her dreams; she was a public servant and gave up the position to fulfill her dream of flying: she became a paragliding pilot, a skydiving pilot, and finally, an airplane pilot. She worked for one of the largest Brazilian airlines and finished her career piloting an Airbus 330, one of the largest passenger planes in the world, as an international pilot.
But she found in the arts the freedom she had been chasing in flying. She became a visual artist and innovated with her technique of creating paintings with glitter to express what her life is: a huge carnival!
