My artistic career began with drawing nudes at the Grande Chaumière then at the Beaux Arts workshops in the City of Paris, by painting living models which very quickly became expressionist through my brushes....
My artistic career began with drawing nudes at the Grande Chaumière then at the Beaux Arts workshops in the City of Paris, by painting living models which very quickly became expressionist through my brushes. I liked to translate life rather than resemblance
Very quickly, I turned to abstraction which seduced me by the use of colors, of the material (rather than of the subject); by gestures and the freedom to use them according to my perception. Through painting, I translate my emotions into a language of spots and graphics. My painting is gestural and lyrical, I try to capture the tempo of my feelings and emotions and give impetus and life to my paintings. I am in action in the present and working on several paintings simultaneously.
As time goes on, I express my feelings as closely as possible by scratching, removing, adding or stroking the canvas and other supports (wood, paper, cardboard), by adding textures (collage, newspapers, walnut stain , marble powder, fabrics etc ...). and taking advantage of accidents that occur.
May the heart of the spectator beat a little stronger like mine when a painting or any other work charms or inspires me !!!
