MUNIRE YURDAYUKSEL
Painting and gravure artist Münire Yurdayüksel, was born in Ankara in Turkey. raduated from Faculty of Vocational Education Painting Department of Ankara Gazi University in 1982.
She began her career in Izmir as an art-teacher and painter.
Meanwhile, her art works had begun to be displayed in the galleries.
Her work in the 90's could be assimilated to a geometrical abstraction close to Vasarely's.
In 1996, she went through a realist and figurative period, with works soaking in an almost fantastic atmosphere.
It was in the 1996, that she held first foreign exhibition in Belgium.
In the following year, 1997, she started work on a series with a "women" theme, pre-eminently a symbol of the feminine universe.
This theme stayed as a source of inspiration for a long time for the artist, until she began to "purify" her work with the new century's minimalist silhouettes and profiles.
In 1999, she settled in Brussels and created her own studio.
She attended a number of projects and workshops regarding her field of fine arts in several well-known museums and studios of Belgium and Europe where she moved to take her art much further.
In 2002, as she started working engraving and litho techniques.
Graphic Arts Department of Brussels Flemish Fine Arts Academy (RhoK) , she obtained her diplomas of higher expertise in the field of Gravure and Printing Techniques.
She majored in printmakings.
She organized internationally many individual exhibitions, participated in collective exhibitions. She same attended art projects and workshops.
She has numerous art articles published in exclusive art magazines and gazettes. She has shown her work both nationally and internationally.
Some of her works can be found in the Ministry of Culture, in several museums and in private collections.
