Collages

Collage is an artistic creation technique that consists of making a plastic creation by combining elements of various kinds: more or less flat materials, such as printed oilcloth, painting or drawing, newspaper extracts with text and photos, paper paintings, documents, various objects of low relief, etc. When the creation incorporates elements in relief, one can also speak of assemblage. This also includes glued papers, which employ a variety of papers, including newspaper, and drawing techniques.

Moira McAinsh la plus écossaise des Parisiennes. Depuis toujours passionnée de peinture, elle décide de quitter l’Écosse pour partir à la découverte de l'Europe: elle ne rentrera plus dans son pays natal mais rentre dans le monde de la mode en tant que styliste de mode. Elle quitte progressivement ce milieu pour se consacrer à la peinture sous la forme de bouts de papier soigneusement sélectionnés dans les magazines et livres d'art. Une technique original qui apporte une texture unique et une profondeur émotive à chaque tableau. Moira représente des femmes, danseuses, geishas..............magnifiquement drapées, ornées de plumes, comme des plus belles robes de la haute couture. Elle nous fait aussi partager ses animaux.........girafes, lions, éléphants ou encore tigres, à la fois majestueux et plein d'humour mais éclatent toujours de couleur et de vie.
