Raphael Chouha is a Syrian artist that was born in 1946 in Aleppo, Syria and moved to Quebec, Canada in 2015. He started his career in the early 1970s, painted enormous cinemascope posters in Aleppo and Damascus.
In additional to his work as an advertising designer in his own company for more than 40 years, he has produced a good collection of acrylic and oil paintings that demonstrate different subjects including: woman, freedom, nature and historical places of Aleppo — the city where he was born and raised up.
Since he opened his own gallery in 2008, many art collectors and clients from different countries such as Germany, France, USA, Canada, Syria and Lebanon were interested in his works. Most of his works are oil paintings on canvas, and some are a combination of both acrylic and oil colors.
