Oily Bubbles #1 (2020) Photography by Mickaël Weber
"Fine-Arts" prints on paper
It is a process of printing on art paper using very high-quality pigment inks and printed in very high definition. Its level of conservation is exceptional (more than 100 years), its quality, depth, and richness of nuances exceeds the classic photo print on Argentic paper.

Glossy finish
Apart from its exceptional thickness, the fiber paper is composed of an alpha-cellulose base without acid and it is covered with barium sulphate, and a microporous layer absorption enhancing pigments during printing. A pure white color, non-yellowing to light, this paper is especially designed for resistance and aging. It is used by major museums worldwide as it offers excellent resolution, rendering deep and dense colors.

A photographer in the south of France, I am passionate about Macro photography, which allows me to enter an unknown world teeming with subtle details, imaginary shapes, and vibrant colors.
After exploring wildlife and plant life, I experimented with other, more atypical "playgrounds."
My work eventually shifted towards oil drops. It's hard to believe at first glance that simple drops of oil can, under the Macro lens, reveal such unique yet entirely natural shapes and colors.
I invite you to discover this world, which I have called "Oily bubbles," through a few abstract and colorful shots of oil drops frozen in their motion. Each photograph is a unique, non-reproducible work of art. This is the magic of the instant: the shot at that exact moment.
Note: The photographs featured on this site have all undergone post-processing (white balance, exposure, removal of unwanted micro-bubbles) to ensure impeccable quality, even with significant enlargement. However, it is important to clarify that neither the shape, number, nor colors of the drops have been altered.
