Totally immersed in the production of painting artworks collected in various collections including “Overview”, “Pending Portrait”, “Silenzioso”, etc. He exhibits his collections at the Uhuru Art Village cultural centre, a space and cultural lab dedicated to the arts in the city of Bari, where he exhibits, writes, paints, produces and composes music and painting in residence.
"My innate predisposition for contemplation and spirituality leads me to focus on the hidden meanings of things. On the symbols and rituals that silently envelop our daily lives. I am inspired by the immediacy of the expressionists but I borrow the strength of the sign and color from abstract painting. I mainly use acrylic colors for immediacy and versatility and the supports I usually work on are canvas, board and paper. Mine is an intuitive painting. In painting as in music, I freely manipulate, in form and colour, the materials and elements of the artwork and I paint the chosen themes in their essentiality . Generally using large spatulas and brushes, I give little space to detail, favoring an overall vision and carefully select a few colors with strong tones, working on the work until it becomes stable and significant on both an aesthetic and symbolic level. On the border between surrealism and expressionism, I try to satisfy multiple creative and communicative needs through different productions. Working on apparently very distant themes, styles and techniques, all my artworks (from landscapes to unusual human figures, through abstract painting) have a thin veil of mysticism in common. Each artwork becomes a sort of path full of clues to follow and a sure path towards a deeper understanding of oneself." M. Giuliani
