Biography
Meschac Gaba est né en 1961 à Cotonou (Bénin). Il a étudié à la Rijksakademie voor Beeldende Kunsten d'Amsterdam en 1996-97 et vit actuellement à Cotonou (Benin).
Comme pour questionner l'identité, la différence culturelle et les relations postcoloniales, le travail de Meschac Gaba va de la peinture à la sculpture, la structure, l'objet recyclé ou le modèle des villes faites de cheveux tressés artificiels.
