Glossy finish
Apart from its exceptional thickness, the fiber paper is composed of an alpha-cellulose base without acid and it is covered with barium sulphate, and a microporous layer absorption enhancing pigments during printing. A pure white color, non-yellowing to light, this paper is especially designed for resistance and aging. A self-taught visual artist, Mireille CEREA was born in 1963 in Marseille, in the South of France, a region where color rises to light.
In 2008, illness struck and turned everything upside down. She took refuge in "artisticism". An art lover, she turned to her lifelong passion, painting.
In 2010, meeting Martine CARRAUD, a graduate in visual arts at the University of Aix-en-Provence and a professor, allowed her to perfect her technique and develop her painting towards figurative art.
In 2014, she was introduced to abstract art and oil painting at Catherine KLIFA's studio (University of Los Angeles).
In 2017, she joined the studio of Danielle CASIMIRI, an art ceramist in Vaucluse, to familiarize herself with modeling and sculpture, and to learn various decorative techniques: paint colors (engobes, oxides, etc.), under- or over-glazed colors. She discovered the fragility and sensuality of clay.
After exploring different techniques, she has now chosen to work with acrylics, which allows her to give free rein to her spontaneity, through research into textures, colors, and movement.
She uses all her skills and influences to paint works that will be sources of light, vibrations, emotions. She paints with her personality, her experiences. Her works reveal a shower of emotions, witnesses of the time inside her and her openness to the world. Art delivers.
In her portfolio, you will find mainly portraits. Women are her main source of inspiration. Beauty, voluptuous curves, the inaccessible and mysterious woman, her expressions, her feelings, her interiority, in blurred and old-fashioned settings are the assets that the artist highlights in most of her works.
Her work is an oxymoron. The painter of paradox!
