Mauricio Santos, nascido no Rio de Janeiro em 1971, é artista autodidata, mas com formação teórica em história da arte no Museu Nacional de Belas Artes e Centro Cultural Oduvaldo Viana Filho. Expos a série de xilogravuras, “Quem Matou Aparecida?”, inspirada no poema de mesmo nome do poeta Ferreira Gullar, no Centro Cultural Mário Peixoto e no SESC Tijuca (RJ). Participou do grupo Imaginário Periférico em vários eventos, entre eles Varal Escambo, na Galeria 90 (RJ) e Mola, no Circo Voador (RJ). Como artista visual, atualmente dedica-se a esculturas e pinturas, além de transitar por outras mídias: particularmente a cenografia.
