Maria Romano

Maria Romano was born in Massa Lubrense in 1961. 

After studying at the High Art School in Sorrento (Italy) 1980, she devoted herself to art by practicing drawing and painting with an assiduous search for colours, lights and materials.

 This path was interrupted by a work transfer abroad in 1989 however, the passion for art has always been present, filling the spaces of free time available. 

Returning to Italy in 2015, Arts becomes again the center of her interests and therefore she deepens her portraiture and preferring soft pastels and acrylic colors among the various techniques acquired. 

...In my work I want to bring nature and all the changes that occur in it, closer to the observer.The animal world colors, the human expressions, are essential as they show us that we can embark on an exciting journey through the human soul and nature.
