Composant des spatialités figuratives qui tendent parfois vers l’abstraction, Margaux Desombre nous livre ses espaces imaginaires ou issus de sa mémoire. Depuis 2020, elle déploie son travail dans le cadre d’ateliers à vocation sociale (Association La Source), des projets de collaborations (Vinci Immobilier, Un immeuble une œuvre, œuvre murale…) : Margaux Desombre a à cœur de développer les potentialités du collectif dans sa pratique. Ces dernières années, elle a exposé ses travaux en France et en Italie, et certaines de ses pièces sont intégrées dans des fonds et des collections (Musée Bernard Boesch, Ritz Carlton Miami…). Dernièrement, ses pièces ont été présentées à la galerie Larock-Granoff, Galerie Gardette / The Curators, et prochainement elle présentera un corpus d'oeuvres près du Carreau du Temple dans le cadre d'une exposition collective. Peinture à l'huile, pastels et broderies sont ses médiums privilégiés. Ses travaux se déploient également sur des supports divers dans l'espace : façades de bâtiments, mobilier, oeuvres in situ (sol en créramique), voiles de bateaux, fresque... Architecte de formation, l'artiste revendique un point de vue anthropologique et sensible à l'esapce, et conserve de ses années de pratique une approche à la fois critique et onirique au vivant. Elle s'attache par ailleurs à questionner les perturbations auxquels les territoires et les cultures sont soumis dans le contexte de mondialisation et d'urbanisation. Elle travaille entre son atelier à Poush (aubervilliers), et la côte atlantique.
