29 jours durant, en juillet 1997 j’ai photographié sur la plage d’Audierne en Bretagne, un château de sable construit par un enfant et laissé là, à la merci des vagues et du vent.
J’ai ensuite fait faire des planches contact, découpé l’ensemble des 29 photographies que j’ai collées sur des petites cartes de papier marbré et assemblées dans une boîte achetée à Kyoto au Japon. « Jeu de cartes » qui sacre un geste inscrit dans l’enfance de l’art.

Manuela Morgaine est artiste, écrivain, cinéaste, performeuse, et scénographe. Pensionnaire de la Villa Médicis en scénographie (1994), elle dirige Envers Compagnie, qui se consacre depuis 1991 à la production d’œuvres pluridisciplinaires. Elle est l’auteur de nombreux livres et de plusieurs Ateliers de création radiophonique diffusés sur France Culture. Elle a prêté sa voix pour le cinéma et la télévision, a réalisé une dizaine de films parmi lesquels FOUDRE (2013) et POUR WAAD (2021) KINTSUGI (2025) ont reçu une reconnaissance internationale. Elle a récemment fait une série de performances à la Galerie Maubert, au Musée Picasso, à la Fondation Brownstone, à la Fondation Fiminco (Romainville), au 7.5 (Isabelle Suret) et à l'Atelier Lardeur à Paris. Elle fait partie de THE CROWN LETTER un collectif d’artistes femmes à travers le monde initié au début de la pandémie par Natacha Nisic. Elle travaille actuellement sur ORAKL, une performance de glace et de paroles et sur un long métrage, ADIEU un film d’un mot. Et prépare une exposition personnelle MY EYES TO THÉ WORLD.
