MY ATTRACTION TO PAINTING GOES BACK TO MY EARLY CHILDHOOD.
I’VE BEEN DRAWING AND PAINTING SINCE THE AGE OF FOUR. IT WAS NOT PERFECT BUT THE WILL TO CREATE WAS ALWAYS PRESENT IN ME.
THE IMAGE HAS ALWAYS FASCINATED ME.
THE TRUE WITNESSES OF THEIR TIME ARE THE PAINTERERS SUCH AS BRUEGHEL, VERMEER, CANALETTO, DELACROIX ETC, ETC, ETC...
L' INVENTION OF PHOTOGRAPHY BY NIEPCE AND BY DAGUERRE, THEN THAT OF CINEMA BY THE LUMIERE BROTHERS ENDED UP PERFECTING THE WILL TO REPRODUCE REALITY.
WITH MY BROTHER JULES, WE FIRST DIRECTED TOWARDS CINEMA . WE MADE FILMS AND DOCUMENTARIES.*
THEN I HEADED INTO PHOTOTOGRAPHY. I PUBLISHED PHOTO BOOKS WITHOUT NEVER STOPPING DRAWING. FINALLY I ARRIVED AT OIL PAINTING AS WELL AS CREATING WATERCOLORS, MAGAZINE COVERS AND POSTERS.
I BELIEVE THAT FOR ME, CREATION OF A PAINTING IS A MOMENT AS INTENSE AS HAVING A WOMAN YOU LOVE BY YOUR SIDE.
PAINTING, PHOTO, CINEMA, VIDEO ARE DISCIPLINES THAT RESULT FROM FROM THE LOOK AND SINCE MAN EXISTED, HE HAS LIKED TO REPRODUCE HIMSELF THROUGH THE IMAGE AS IN THE CAVES OF LASCAUX.
AS LONG AS MAN EXISTS, WE WILL BE ATTRACTED BY THE ;IMAGE IN ALL ITS FORMS.
THE IMAGE IS US. THIS IS WHY I LIKE FIGURATIVE PAINTING.

*AFTER MY STUDIES, I STARTED, WITH MY BROTHER JULES CHIASELOTTI, TO DIRECT 16MM FILMS OF VARIOUS DURATIONS. I AM A CAMERA OPERATOR AND CO-DIRECTOR WITH MY BROTHER JULES, OF THESE VARIOUS SHORT AND FEATURE FILMS.
AT THE EARLY SIXTIES, I ENTERED THE ORTF, SERVING RESEARCH.
THEN, AS A FRAMEWORKER I PARTICIPATE IN MORE THAN 500 "APOSTROHES" AND "SCREEN FOLDERS" AND HUNDREDS OF OTHER QUALITY SHOWS.
THANKS TO "APOSTROPHES" I AM AROUND HUNDREDS OF WRITERS WHOM I DRAW IN INDIAN INK AND WHOM I PHOTOGRAPH, TOO. WHICH ALLOWED ME TO PUBLISH A BOOK ENTITLED 'IN THE SCENES OF' APOSTROPHES" WITH A VERY BEAUTIFUL PREFACE BY BERNARD PIVOT.
NB: I would like to find a gallery (in France or abroad) to exhibit my paintings and my watercolors.
I am also looking for a promoter to publish postcards from my paintings.
