In the evening, when the noise of the city dies down and the night envelops the world with its quiet magic, I often sit and look at photographs of cats and kittens. I lost my beloved cat a few months ago, and it is at these moments that I find solace in images of animals. They can evoke warmth and nostalgia in me, immersing me in memories of happiness and love.
Recently, I noticed works created by artificial intelligence. They are truly impressive in their aesthetic harmony and perfect composition. However, despite all their beauty, I noticed that they lack life. These images seem “dead”, as if they are deprived of energy and emotion, which are so important in art.
Comparing them with photographs taken by artists or just amateurs, I realized that even if the latter works are not always perfect from a technical point of view, they are filled with feelings and vital energy. These images tell stories, convey emotions and create a connection between the viewer and the artist. They are alive.
I used to worry that artificial intelligence would replace artists, pushing them out of the art world. But now I understand that this will not happen. Works created by human hands have a unique soul that no machine can reproduce. It's like trying to print delicious food on a piece of paper - even if it looks perfect, the taste will be bland, and a sense of self-deception will become an integral part of this experience.
Art is an expression of human emotions, experiences and a unique view of the world. It is born in a moment of inspiration and passion, and it is this spark that makes it truly valuable. Artificial intelligence can be a tool, but it is not able to create the deep emotional response that we find in the work of real artists.
I am glad that there will always be a place for human creativity and emotions in the art world. In the evening, sitting in silence, I continue to look at photographs and paintings of photographers, artists and I understand that it is this connection with their stories that makes each picture unique and unrepeatable. Art is not only beauty, but also a soul, and it will always belong to a person.
