Lesia Danilina
Lesia Danilina is a contemporary artist based in Turkey. On a global scale, the central theme of her art revolves around Healing and Mental Health. Through her artistic expression, she delves into the psychological state of contemporary individuals amidst a backdrop of worldwide transformations and traumatic experiences. Her artwork aims to investigate the underlying sources of distress through her Essentialism series, while also offering glimpses of tranquility and serenity through her Moments and Beige Feelings series.
In order to convey this theme, she employs acrylic and soak-stain techniques on predominantly uncoated canvas. Initially, her artistic arsenal consisted solely of stains and colors. Subsequently, she harnessed the power of composition, a deep understanding of color psychology, and the physical properties of materials. This involved utilizing various mediums for acrylics, water pours, texture pastes, and even ground coffee, enabling her to create visually captivating and thought-provoking artwork.
She meticulously crafts her abstractions, carefully considering each stain and color choice. Structuring a piece in abstract art involves orchestrating chaos, yet she maintains an ongoing dialogue with her materials, allowing them to guide her process and strike a harmonious balance.

Personal exhibitions "Wabi-Vases"
6204 Sempach, Switzerland
The theme of her art is to explore and improve the mental state of modern man.
Through various series of her art, Lesya reveals and explores this issue from different angles.
When creating her Wabi-Vases series, Lesia was inspired by the Japanese concept of Wabi-sabi, which speaks to the acceptance of imperfection in all things.
A minimalist collection of handmade vases defined by simplicity, harmony and a balance between textures, shapes and color. Using clay, Lesia creates abstract shapes in an attempt to capture beauty as part of imperfection. These physical manifestations touch on the ephemeral quality of the flow of time and humanity's relationship with the natural world.
The vases are based on a used glass bottle, referring to issues of reuse, humanity's relationship with nature, and man's role in the ecosystem.
This proves that you can not only give a second life to ordinary things, but with the idea and work of the artist you can turn them into a work of art.
Wabi-sabi reminds us of the illusory nature of permanence and perfection, of the ephemerality of problems and worries.
Bringing a little Wabi-Sabi into the home can make it warmer, making everything more "real" and natural. After all, greatness lives in the little details, and beauty can be part of imperfection.
Nothing is eternal, perfect or finished.
The vases are handmade and have no repeats. Each vase in the series is unique and numbered.
Works from the exhibition are available for purchase.
