Welcome to my world, a space where the realms of dream and reality intertwine. I'm a French-New Zealand artist working in oil painting and sculpture, driven by a fascination with the human experience and the mysteries that lie beneath the surface of our conscious minds.
Born in Paris and based in Wellington since 2017, I am a self-taught artist driven by an insatiable curiosity for materials and techniques. While my work explores various mediums, I find my most instinctive language in oil painting and clay sculpture, cast in bronze or plaster.
Far from Paris, exile led me to deep introspection, awakening an absolute creative need. While I appreciate the sharing and community aspects of social media, I never create artworks to please an audience but rather to follow an inner necessity, to give shape to the unseen, to summon the psyche.
My deep interest in writing and psychology is intrinsically linked to my artistic practice, nourishing and accompanying my creative process.
My perspective has been shaped by my studies in art history, cinematography, and photography—disciplines that continue to influence my perception of light, composition and atmosphere. I have left fragments of my soul in Versailles, Brittany, Rome, and in the hidden châteaux of the French countryside, steeped in old stone and memory.
My work navigates the liminal spaces between worlds, fueled by the enduring legacy of European art and the haunting beauty of the surreal and the darkly fantastic.
I create visual narratives that explore themes of secrecy, confession, questioning and the ongoing human journey of self-discovery.
Through a carefully chosen visual vocabulary, I strive to create works that resonate on a deeper, almost subconscious level. Each brushstroke, each sculpted form, is imbued with meaning, inviting the viewer to engage in a personal dialogue with the artwork and unlock its hidden stories.
I see my work as a journey, a continuous evolution. I hope to take you along in this inconstancy and adventure.
