Kishore Dagia was born in Mumbai on November 25, 1961. Upon graduating as an Engineer from a premier institute, he chose to gain his post graduation in Marketing Management. His career and the long travels he undertook - within India and across the world – from the spots of the rich and famous to remote villages, played a formative role in his pursuit of photography.
Alongwith a succeeesful career – as the Sales Director of large, multinational, project engineering companies, Kishore decided to plunge and formalize his interest in photography into a passion. The desire to see the extraordinary in simple people and ordinary places, has shaped his creative vision.
His passion can be summed up in his own words - “I loved what I saw, and since I could not paint, I took to capturing images on digital - to recreate and preserve life forever.”
Kishore’s work is focussed on capturing the heritage of India – be it portrait, dance, heritage or festival theme photography – mostly outside the studio. He attempts to weave a story with the moods he captures.
Kishore currently resides in Bangalore with his wife Rachana and his two children - Upasana and Vatsal.
