Je travaille en autre, la peinture à la cire dite aussi « encaustique » qui me permets des effets complexes où se rencontrent l'opaque, la transparence, l'épaisseur, les glacis, … une texture folle que l’on lustre pour lui donner de l’éclat.
Ce médium est particulièrement adapté au thème de « nature en mouvement», je l’expérimente[...]

Karen Dutoit Verbeke est une artiste peintre française contemporaine née en 1973 qui travaille entre la région parisienne et la haute savoie.
Après un bac arts plastique et un cursus d’Arts Appliqués, elle officie 20 ans dans l’évènementiel et pratique le dessin et la peinture à ses heures perdues
A l’issue de la pandémie de Covid, elle décide de se consacrer pleinement à sa passion et se met à peindre comme elle travaille : régulière, prolifique et enthousiaste.
Karen se lance à corps perdu dans son art et aborde pèle mêle tous les thèmes qu’elle affectionne : la nature, l’architecture, les scènes d’intérieurs …
Des toiles figuratives dans lesquelles le sujet réel arrive souvent en cours de réalisation, des ombres d’arbres, des écumes de mer, une végétation envahissante ...
