Karen Axikyan is a contemporary Armenian sculptor. During the last 15 years he has been creating metal sculptures. Karen Axikyan says that the metal is an instrument through which he is able to transmit his emotional states. He doesn't decide which animal what kind of emotion must have, the sculpture itself decides its emotion.
Karen Axikyan was born in Yerevan, Armenia in 1963. He has exhibited his works all across the country and they are in the permanent collection of the National Gallery of Armenia.
