大漆作為中國傳統文化的一部分,長期以來更常被視為工藝美術的一種,這種思維慣性束縛了漆畫藝術的發展。如何融合或創新,使其不失大漆特有的藝術表現力,又能釋放出獨具特色的東方意境和當代美學理想?


一個擁有天賦的藝術家會在他的藝術創作中表現更多的可能性和多元化,從木胎漆畫到紙本漆畫,有延續,也有突破,有對於文化記憶的傳承,也有對於當代藝術的建構。《俯仰之境——沈金山個展》正是沈金山開啟漆畫全新的視覺呈現方式,從語言到形式,從方法到觀念,回歸屬於漆畫本體的審美精神,在當代語境下,突破固化的形式、材料範疇,塑造與當代觀念相吻合的藝術語言,為現代漆畫回歸美學另辟道路。


Lacquer, as a part of Chinese traditional culture, has long been taken as craft art. But this habit of thinking has, to a large degree, confined the development of lacquer art. It has been a inquiry among the lacquer artists at this moment how to integrate and innovate the lacquer art so as to reserve its unique artistic expression, but to liberate its poetic oriental beauty and contemporary aesthetic conception?


As a talented artist, Shen Jinshan tends to explore more possibilities and diversification. On wood or on paper, he inherits the memory of traditional lacquer culture, breaks through the limits, and completes the construction of contemporary lacquer art. The solo exhibition of Shen Jinshan displays a wholly new vision of lacquer art, from languages to forms, from methods to conceptions, all presenting the aesthetic spirit of the essence of lacquer art. But he destructs the stereotyped forms and the range of materials under the contemporary context,  creates an art language which corresponds to the contemporary conceptions, and paved a new aesthetic way for modern lacquer art.
