This is a combination of two collages (mixed media) each 120x140cm on verxy stable aluminium frames, that do not bend. It is made of printed photos, glue, glue stripes and spray paint.
I used a photo from Augusta Alexander and put it on a canvas, using a very special part and dividing it into nine pieces. Further I was adding acrylic and spray paint and a pattern from a Parisian roll I bought from a flee market with Sleeping Beauty-kind of flower décor. I love the style of illegal posters on public bridges, which is an inspiration to this diptych.
Warhol is my leading star, he was famous for his replications but we live in a new age, replicating became different, we haven new technologies and techniques and the faces, models, objects need an update. This is a study, combining Andy Warhol's idea with a new face: Augusta Alexander. And changing the style a bit, taking his photos from Instagram but changing them.
This artwork consists of two canvasses 120x140cm each. The canvasses are in aluminium frames, so much better and more stable than wooden frames, they do not bend, they do not change over time. Best quality, great longevity. If xyou want to purchase only one, that is fine with me, too. Just send me a message.
None of my artwork is perfect, they are organic, there are drops of paint, tears in the paper, waves, glue residues. They are original!
