Originaire de Bordeaux. Études artistiques à l’école des Beaux Arts de Bordeaux puis à aux Beaux Arts à Paris. Jean Louis DELMAS expose depuis 1983, ses oeuvres se trouvent dans de nombreuses collections privées en France, USA, Espagne, Suisse...une de ses toiles figures dans le film de Claude LELOUCH "L’important c est d’aimer". Mon désir est de rendre la nature aussi belle qu’elle est. Je travaille à partir de croquis et de photos pris dans la nature au cours de mes voyages. Puis je travaille sur la toile. Il me faut entre deux et trois semaines pour achever une toile. J’utilise pour cela aussi bien les pînceau que les couteaux ainsi que parfois mes doigts. Je procède par couches afin de donner du relief pour accrocher la lumière. Enfin je suis heureux lorsqu'on me dit l envie de se promener dans mes tableaux.
