Né fils d'agriculteur, dans un petit village dans le canton de Lembeye au nord de Pau.
Enfant il peignait à la gouache et l'instituteur épinglait ses dessins sur les murs de la classe.
Adolescent il allait de ferme en ferme pour les peindre.
Autodidacte, il a participé à divers concours "peindre au village"
Avec sa peinture il voyage : Venise, la chine, Paris (le marais).... et il revient invariablement vers les rues ou monuments qu'il aime ou qui l'ont marqués.
Quelques prix l'ont particulièrement touchés ces dernières années, dénonçant le proverbe qui dit "nul n'est prophète en son pays".
il expose régulièrement dans la région Sud Aquitaine, et il participe également à quelques expositions nationales et internationales.
Il pratique principalement deux techniques : L'aquarelle et l'huile
Il est essentiellement figuratif et coloriste. Paysagiste urbain, il dessine et peint ce qu'il voit et qu'il anime avec des personnages.
Il est membre à part entière de "La Société des Amis des Arts à Pau" et également des associations "Arts et Lettres de France", "Régionaliste de Béarn, du Pays Basque et des contrées de l'Adour" et de "La Palette Morlanaise"
