Anne Vis (Amsterdam), self-taught artist.
After finishing an education as webdesigner in 2001,
there was a need to create illustrations for web sites.
Soon enough I discovered that scanning my encaustic paintings for the computer opened up an entire new world of possibilities.
In 2004 I started my own design company Sunny Sites, specialised in spiritual art for daily life applications. (like wine labels, gift enclosure cards, greeting cards and art for on the wall).
Working with NY based tile manufacturer Loudeac Tile Studio has led to large collection of tile designs.

The subjects of my art are oftentimes dreamy and colorful, like in the series of surreal landscapes and flowers.
Characteristic for my work is a special use of lighting.
