Michal Shelly’s art is strongly influenced by Expressionism. Like Expressionist artists who preceded her, she rejects naturalism and realism. For her (and many others), a form emerges as a result of inner compulsion. She believes that artists should not be held subject to tradition and convention. Her colorful paintings utilize a variety of styles, combining figurative imagery with a language that is both allusive and elusive, suffused with pictorial sensitivity and abstract thoughtfulness.

Michal produces thick, multi-layered, large paintings on canvas with a density that suggests mysterious and inscrutable forms. Her goal is to create an experience for the viewer, providing emotional information, touching upon nature and incorporating strong color combination that have an embossed material. The paints, pencils and tar are the materials that emphasize her abilities as a sketchiest.

Michal’s search after the right formation on the canvas can be analogous to a play in a space of uncertainty. Her abstract paintings embrace us in an excited and sensual touch, inviting us to peek into ourselves.

The expressionist painting artist Michal Shelly has recently been announced as one of the winners in a famous art competition (showdown) by Saatchi Online Art Marketplace.

In the showdown, held online during beginning of April 2011 competed 3,777 (!) painters from all over the world to be scored within top 128 in order to receive a prestigious ticket to present their artworks in the Grand Palais 2011 exhibition, Paris, France. Born in Tel-Aviv, Israel. In 1969 received a B.Sc. in Architecture & Urban Planning from the Technion Institute of Technology, Israel. In 1971 received a B.A in Literature from the University of Tel-Aviv. Taught there until 1974. Concurrently, studied painting at the studio of the Israeli painter Pinchas Abramovitch. In 1980, moved to Caracas, Venezuela, enrolled at the Center of Study of Graphic Arts (CEGRA,1981-1983) and studied painting at Walter Margulis’ studio. Since 1984, has worked on art projects, taught and participated in courses and workshops in Italy, Belgium, the United States, Israel, Colombia and Venezuela. Lives in Israel, Venezuela and India.

For the past 25 years Shiran-Mizrahi has been tutoring teachers and overseeing projects for improving education systems with Art, worldwide, mainly in Thailand and Nepal. She’s also been facilitating groups for communicating with aid of Art.

To-date, Shiran-Mizrahi is actively treating people with holistic art therapy, using a self-developed, unique method to diagnose and treat personal problems with the aid of Mandala pictures.

Shiran-Mizrahi is also actively creative in the areas of art jewelry and fine art photography.

In digital photography, Shiran-Mizrahi is fond of taking people photography in their natural environment, and nature photography and location photography in their original photography lighting. Shiran-Mizrahi is also active in the area of fashion necklace jewelry, and in particular, handmade beaded necklaces. In her unique designs, this jewelry designer uses many sorts of jewelry beads. Haleli Sahar-Sadeh was born in 1948 in the Jordan Valley, Israel. Even as a child she was impressed by paintings, though on those days paintings were fairly conservative. The freedom of expression in art was not part of the formal education, at that time. Drawing was viewed solely as a technical skill, not at all as art.

At her first years as an artist, Haleli drew her paintings through a process of observation, looking at people, faces and nature, using pencil and pastel colors. Years have passed in intensive artistic work, when eventually she learned that a necessary condition for art is freedom, which is driven by self awareness.

Then came the time to start expressing herself freely, drawing oil paintings, from her imagination, using oil on canvas. These contemporary art paintings were unplanned, impulsive, and were dubbed by her: “soul paintings”. They were literally “born” through smearing paint on paper and canvas while allowing the painting to create itself.

Only later she grasped the significance of these new creations for herself, and their role in her life. They tell Haleli’s yearning for the simplicity and purity of her childhood, and the dreams of her youth.

Cohen paints since her childhood. She’s used to take her camera with her anywhere she goes, take landscapes photos, fields and flower photos, and paint oil paintings or acrylic paintings from those photos, sketching using mixed techniques, in many intense colors. Cohen’s paintings project colorfulness, which reflects joy, as per the artist.

Eva was born and grew up in Budapest, Hungary. Her childhood and adolescence were greatly influenced by the artistic work of her mother, who was a famous prima ballerina, and of the enthusiastic patronage of the arts by her rich father.

The sport of competitive swimming was and still is the main course of the larger Farkas family – Eva herself, her son Irad, her daughter Annette and the grandson Jonathan were all swimming champions, brought to success by the famous international swimming coach, George Farkas, Eva’s husband since 1956.

In her professional life, Eva graduated colleges for drawing and sculpturing, and further post-graduated in Paris, London, Amsterdam and Vienna. She also taught for four years in the college of classic arts in Lahr, Germany.

Eva became famous all over Europe and beyond, for her realistic perspective, while spreading the arts and culture of Hungary.
Eva creates on a daily basis; paintings on paper and canvas with pencil drawing, aquarelles, pastel, acrylic and oil colors, and art sculptures with terracotta or bronze or using classic methods. She’s a perfectionist, and a great believer in quality over quantity. Her daily routine involves teaching classic drawing, painting and sculpturing to adults and children. She also swims daily. Music is Eva’s most significant inspirer in her work. She's mostly fond of Jazz, Blues and classic music. Eva’s hobby is extreme sports – flying light aircrafts and parachuting.

Eva Farkas-Fischhof also became a famous professional painter of portraits for many politicians, ministers, movie stars, fashion models and other celebrities, who modeled to her throughout the years for “face paintings”. She’s also an experienced “pet portraits” artist.

Born 1937, Israel. In 1980 he graduated in Arts & Painting from BAU, Israel. In 1991 Engelmeyer graduated in Arts from The Art League of Indianapolis, IN, USA. In 2002 the artist graduated Fine Art Print studies from the Tel-Aviv Museum Of Art, Israel. During 2003-2004 specialized in contemporary art print in workshops by Kibbutz Artists in Israel.

The artist’s artworks explore the human body to its extremes by experimenting different forms of the fine arts: painting, iron sculpturing, and photography. Since 1998, he focuses on various aspects of art print on canvas (giclee art print) and paper, etchings, silk screening and his unique, self-developed technique: sand print.
