Carl Jaunay è uno scultore, designer e “Rianimatore di oggetti” francese contemporaneo. Sotto questo termine poetico si nasconde una vera passione: riportare in vita oggetti e materiali abbandonati. Jaunay valorizza la loro storia e fa del riciclaggio un'arte offrendo opere in metallo, legno, vetro e bronzo. Riutilizza metallo arrugginito “spesso storico”, a volte adornato con rivetti tipo Eiffel, ma anche vecchi strumenti, per trasformarli in sculture, illuminazione e mobili.
Le sollecitazioni del tempo si trasformano poi in fonte di ispirazione, contribuendo all'unicità del pezzo. La ruggine diventa il vicolo dell'artista, il metallo diventa più leggero. Con creazioni atipiche, che restano e che durano, l'artista svela la materia, sublima le patine che testimoniano l'impronta del tempo.
