После школы 5 лет обучался рисованию в Пензенском художественном училище им. К А Савицкого. Закончил Российскую академию живописи, ваяния и зодчества Ильи Глазунова в Москве по специальности-живописец, где овладел секретами старых мастеров. Во время обучения пристрастился к портретному жанру. Любит писать с натуры. всё больше набирает обороты увлечение копирования картин великих французских, итальянских, фламандских и британских художников. Участвует во всероссийских и международных выставках. Организовывал индивидуальную выставку: "Лица Пензы".
Maksim Plotnikov is the Russian artist who was born in 1989 in USSR. From the early years he was found of painting dreaming to become an artist. Thank to Sergey Kuzmin, a honored artist of Russian Federation, Maxim revealed passion for fine arts. He successfully graduated Art school named after Konstantin Savitsky in Penza, Russia. After that he started his study in The Ilya Glazunov Russian academy of Painting, Sculpture and Architecture, where he learned the techniques of old artists such as Rembrant, Caravaggio, William Bouguereau, Diego Velazquez and successfully applyed them for his own style of painting. During his studying Maxim aquired a taste for portrait painting and painting from nature. Another Maxim's interest is a creation of the accurate copies of works of famous French, Italian, British and Flemish artists. He participates in nationwide and international exhibitions. In 2012 Maxim organized personal exhibition "The Faces of Penza".
