Atom Hovhanesyan, nato nel 1981 in Armenia, è un artista che ha vissuto e lavorato negli Stati Uniti. Fin da piccolo dimostra grande sensibilità e curiosità, qualità che hanno plasmato il suo percorso artistico. Dopo un'infanzia trascorsa tra Algeria e Armenia, emigra negli Stati Uniti nel 1997 con la famiglia.
Inizialmente autodidatta, sviluppa la sua passione per la pittura e il disegno, influenzato da maestri moderni come De Kooning e Kandinsky. Atom perfeziona il suo stile unico, mescolando astrazione, figurazione e neoimpressionismo. Utilizza principalmente olio su tela e penna a sfera su carta, mezzi attraverso i quali esplora temi profondi ed emotivi.
Dal 2013 al 2017 prosegue la sua formazione artistica presso la National Academy of New York e la Art Students League, sotto la direzione di Michael Grimaldi, Thomas Torak e Dan Thompson. Il suo lavoro si distingue per una fusione di astrazione e figurazione, pur traendo ispirazione dalle teorie del neoimpressionismo. Hovhanesyan ha realizzato più di 250 opere prima di scomparire tragicamente nel 2018, lasciando un'eredità artistica segnata da sensibilità e maestria tecnica.
