Stephan Benjamin Reisig, nato il 31 luglio 1964 a Dordrecht, Paesi Bassi, attualmente vive e lavora nei Paesi Bassi. Fin dalla giovane età ha mostrato un forte desiderio di esprimersi in modo creativo, immergendosi in varie attività artistiche come il disegno, la pittura, l'intreccio di cesti, il lavoro a maglia e la fotografia durante i suoi studi.
Reisig ha prima completato un breve corso per diventare insegnante di disegno e artigianato prima di iscriversi alla Maastricht Fashion Academy, dove ha esposto le sue illustrazioni di moda con modesto successo. Ha poi lavorato brevemente come illustratore per un noto marchio di moda prima di essere ammesso alla prestigiosa Accademia Gerrit Rietveld di Amsterdam nel 1988, dove si è laureato cum laude nel 1990.
Lavorando principalmente con la matita su carta, Stephan B. Reisig sviluppò uno stile surrealista influenzato da maestri come Albrecht Dürer, Hans Holbein il Giovane, Giuseppe Arcimboldo, Lucas Cranach il Vecchio e Alfred Stevens. Il suo lavoro si distingue per un'eccezionale precisione tecnica e una sconfinata immaginazione, mescolando elementi figurativi e fantastici.
Da quando si è trasferito ad Amsterdam, Stephan continua ad affinare la sua arte e a partecipare a varie mostre. La sua capacità di fondere influenze classiche con una visione contemporanea e surrealista lo ha reso un artista chiave sulla scena artistica olandese.
