Erwin Bruegger hat sich soeben aus der Arbeitswelt zurückgezogen, um sich ganz der Kunst zu widmen. Schon früh interessierte er sich für die Schönheit der Natur und Allgemein. Er wollte die ganze Welt bereisen und lernte deshalb einige Sprachen. Als 21 jähriger zog es ihn nach Brasilien, um Kindern in einem Heim etwas von seinem Beruf als Schreiner mit auf den Lebensweg zu geben.
Zurück in der Schweiz wollte er lernen sich besser künstlerisch auszudrücken, um die Schönheit der Welt allen sichtbar zu machen. Er besuchte Zeichen- und Malkurse an der Neuen Kunstschule Zürich. Seither zeichnet und malt er in seiner Freizeit, wo er seine Unabhängigkeit und künstlerische Freiheit ausleben kann. Er arbeitet intuitiv, aus dem Moment heraus, wo er sich nicht festlegen muss und sich selber sein kann. Die menschliche Figur bleibt immer ein Thema und er verbindet spielerische Unbefangenheit mit ernsthafter Suche. So finden Sie in seinem Schaffen ein breites Spektrum an Figurativem, Arbeiten à la Jackson Pollock, um dann abzuschweifen zum Surrealismus; gespiesen aus dem Unterbewusstsein und um auch manchmal dadaistische Werke zu erschaffen.
Die Ueberfülle des eigensinnigen Schaffens beweist, dass er seinen eigenen Weg geht und immer gegangen ist. Freuen Sie sich mit ihm.
Er nahm teil an vielen Ausstellungen in der Schweiz und im Ausland. Er hat Publikationen in einigen Kunstzeitschriften und Kunst-Büchern.
