As a little girl, school was often pretty boring for me, so during classes I started drawing and doodling in my books. Although it wasn't always appreciated by my teachers, they did encourage me to continue. Thanks to my friendship with a cartoonist, I developed a very own style. Unfortunately after he suddenly passed away, drawing was a painful memory for quite some time.
Luckily in early 2022 I decided to take part in the weekly home challenges of Project Rembrandt, a dutch tv-show. This was my very first experience with painting and although my heart still lies with drawing, painting has brought me a certain freedom to bring scenes to life that are incompatible with reality. I love to create scenes that look real, but can't possibly exist in reality.
At this moment I'm focused on a project featuring the Rolling Stones. It's extra special that I can use photos I've taken myself during the shows as inspiration.
