Irina Laube is a contemporary Russian painter based in Germany. Her paintings began with a foundation in realism, and she continued to explore new methods, styles, and materials throughout her career. She draws inspiration from nature in all of its manifestations: the land, the sea, and the sky; memory and emotion; past and present. These sources of inspiration are used to create interesting and occasionally abstract landscapes that spring to life on the canvas.
Laube's paintings are the result of an intentional coincidence and meticulously planned progression. The colors, lights, structures, and forms she wishes to use in a specific harmony with the various techniques are at the heart of her work.
Irina Laube was born in 1962, in Novosibirsk, Russia. She has exhibited internationally and her works are in private collections all over the world: in Japan, China, New Zealand, United Kingdom, Europe, USA, and Canada.
