Art image bankMarly Indigo is a contemporary French artist based in Toulouse, France. Her work delves into themes of intimacy and the erotic, serving as an exploration of the modern human condition, particularly through the lenses of femininity and stature.
Marly graduated in industrial art and design in 1995. Afterward, she moved to London, UK, where she experimented with various mediums before ultimately focusing on oil painting and embroidery as her primary forms of expression. In 2003, she relocated to the south of France, where she obtained a professional qualification in silkscreen printing.
Having spent her childhood on the shores of Durban in South Africa, Marly's work is deeply influenced by her roots. This cultural background, combined with her experiences in South Africa, London, and the south of France, has shaped a unique style that is evident in her art. Over the years, Marly has participated in several exhibitions across France and has taken part in art residencies in France, Germany, and Finland.
