My approach to creating is passionate and intuitive. I let colors and emotions guide my creative process.
I create in pastel, acrylic and mixed media and let scenes and dynamic movement emerge organically.
I want to create a personal unique work that contains different variations that never end. Most of my artworks are composed of different layers and thicknesses, some are more transparent others in mixed color options, spontaneous movements of palette knives and brushes.
I find inspiration in everything that is beautiful and joyful around me and every work is created to the piano sounds of classical gaspa by Mozart, Chopin, Bach, Tchaikovsky... I believe that we live in a wonderful world, full of joy and positivity. Through my art, I want to share good energy and joy of life with others.

Biography
Igor Kotnik, an artist educated at the School of Design and Painting in Ljubljana, masterfully blends dry pastels and vibrant acrylics to reflect the beauty and joy of life, drawing inspiration from his Prague roots and the soothing rhythms of classical piano music. His unique technique, which harmonizes spontaneous strokes with structured forms, allows him to create layered, dynamic pieces that evoke serenity and endless variations of emotion. Throughout his career, he has exhibited in both group and solo shows, sharing his vision and positive energy with audiences across Europe,United Arab Emirates,Canada... with works now held in a multitude of private collections.
