Watercolor

Guo Hongfeng is a contemporary Chinese painter, born in Qingdao and currently based in Hangzhou, China. He graduated from the China Academy of Art in 1982, specializing in the Department of Arts and Crafts. Today, he works at the Architectural Design Institute of Zhejiang University and focuses on mixed media in his art.

Guo's work is deeply influenced by dreams, which he describes as strange, colorful, and unpredictable. His paintings capture the surreal nature of dreams, ranging from orderly and vividly colored scenes to freeform and boundless mysteries. He also explores the transformation of sounds, language, and touch into visual forms, using his brush to express various sensory experiences. Passionate about experimentation, Guo views his studio as a playground where he welcomes others to join in creative exploration.
