Katsushika Hokusai was a Japanese painter and printmaker who lived from October 31, 1760, to May 10, 1849. He is best known for his paintings "The Great Wave off Kanagawa" and "Fine Wind, Clear Morning," which are part of a series called "Thirty-Six Views of Mount Fuji." Mount Fuji's spiritual meaning gave him ideas for most of his works and helped him become known all over the world. He started to paint in the traditional style of "ukiyo-e." Over time, her changed the genre and gave it a new name. He is known to have used more fake names than any other famous Japanese artist, and he is still the most well-known. It is thought that he had worked on more than 30,000 different projects. Until the end of his life, he kept painting.
