Self-taught by obligation, photographer by inadvertence,   I live and work on the banks of the Loire in the village of LA BOHALLE.

Born in the early 60s in the deep South of France, I emigrated to the Wild West in the late 70s. In the early 80s, I worked as a public school teacher in Catholic Anjou. In the 90s, I turned to the social and psychological sorting of prepubescent teenagers, a profession I practiced in metropolitan France and overseas without displeasure during the 2000s and 2010s, while trying my hand at community journalism, novel writing and audiovisual fiction. In the early 2020s, I took a well-deserved retirement on the banks of the Loire, and finally had the time and space to throw myself “headlong” into my photographic creations.

The trace left by the movement of a body in space says something about its fragility and its way of being in the world, and also reveals its strengths, its gentleness or its violence.

The photographic device used removes the model from the pose, allowing the unexpected to escape and surprise. The resulting blur "opens vision to the troubled dimension of the body and time. It is at once sensation, emotion and the impulse to act, an image and a questioning of the image.
